We had to move our Monday April 8th camp date and location.  It will now be at the MTS Iceplex on Thusday, April 11th at 7:00 and 8:10 pm.

AA Tryouts start April 19th.  Magic is offering again this year a AA Pre-tryout Conditioning Camp.  We are offering 6 skates in two sessions from April 6th to April 17th.

U14 Win Gold at 2013 Western Canadian Championships

The U14 AA Magic Team won Gold representing Manitoba in the 2013 Western Canadian Championships in Regina on Saturday, March 30, 2013.  They went undefeated in the round robin and went onto winning Gold against team Saskatchewan.   U14 AA team had great success this year winning gold at multiple tournaments and finishing off the season with their ultimate goal met......winning Westerns.

Magic Teams Sweeps the 2013 Provincials

It was a "Magical Night" on March 2, 2013.   The Manitoba AA Provincials were being held at Sam Southern Arena and all three Magic levels, U14, U16 and U19, were playing against the BVRA Angels at all levels.   Every one of our Magic teams won the best of 3 series that evening and are now the 2013 AA Manitoba Champions.  They will represent Manitoba at both the Canadian Westerns (U14) and Canadian Ringette Championships (U16 and U19) in Fredericton.

It was an amazing night and we wish our teams all the best at their respective Championships.

Calgary Esso Golden Ring is GOLD for U14 AA

The Manitoba Magic under-14 AA Ringette team finished a magical weekend with a gold medal in Calgary's Esso Golden Ring tournament January 20th. (www.essogoldenring.ca) The team played six games in three days to capture the title, which has not been won by a non-Alberta team in the u-14 AA division since 2002, and has not been won by a Manitoba team since 1992. This is only the fourth time in the history of the tournament that the u14 AA division title has been won by a non-Alberta team (since the inaugural 1986 year).

U19 AA Magic Team Undefeated in Waterloo - GOLD !

The Magic U19AA team travelled to Ontario January 10- 13 and went undefeated in the Waterloo Ringette Tournament.  The team went through the 6 team round-robin with 4 wins and one tie.  In the gold medal game, Magic faced the home team Waterloo Wildfire winning 9– 6.  It was a great weekend with lots of ringette and temperatures of +10 degrees.  Who could ask for a better weekend in January!

Gold for U16 Magic at 2013 Cambridge Tournament

The U16 Magic attended the 38th Annual Cambridge Ringette Tournament Jan 4-6 2013.

After a 4 game round robin schedule involving 11 teams from across Ontario and Quebec, Magic finished in 4th place and was set to play 5th place GCRA to qualify for the championship round.  Magic won 7-3 and carried on into the semifinals playing the undefeated 1st place team Nepean, at 7am Sunday morning.  It was a hard fought game that resulted in a  6-5 OT victory for Magic.  On to the final, Magic played Whitby which lead to an action packed, high scoring 9-8 game... that had a Magical ending. 

7 games in 3 days!  Congratulations U16 Magic - 2013 Cambridge Ringette Tournament Champions!

U19 AA Magic Team Wins Gold at 2012 Alberta Icebreaker

Manitoba’s Magic U19AA girls visited Alberta this past weekend to play in the Central Alberta “Icebreaker” tournament. Magic finished round robin play against Zone 5, Calgary, Central Alberta and Edmonton in second place to qualify for the final game, beating Edmonton 6 – 4 to bring home the Gold Medal!! Well done girls!

Gold for our U14's and U16's at the Eastman Tournament

Congratulations to both our Magic Teams, the U14's and U16's for winning Gold at the Eastman's AA Tournament on Sunday Oct 7, 2012.  

The U14's went undefeated in the tournament and faced off with the U16 A's from Eastman in the finals.  They game went into overtime and the Magic scored to win Gold!

The U16's had a nail-biter, coming back from a 0-3 deficit in the final game to win Gold 4-3 against the U16 AA Eastman team.

Great start to the season for both teams.

U14 AA Help at River East Come Try Ringette

On Sunday, September 9, our U14 AA's gave back a little to their "roots" and helped out at the River East Come Try Ringette.  They were very much appreciated based on the nice email from the coordinator:

I Just wanted to say a huge thank you to your team.  We are so appreciative of all the girls who went on the ice and the new players were in awe of them both then at the exhibition game.
